Spokane, Washington was facing a crisis: not enough homes, no affordable homes, and no room for community growth. In 2021, Spokane was 31,920 housing units short. Only 1 in 7 homes were considered “affordable” and the median selling price was increasing at a rapid pace. This housing shortage impacted families, communities, businesses, developers and elected officials. To support change, we developed a housing awareness campaign to inform Spokane residents and provide answers.

A grass-roots housing awareness campaign targeted home buyers, homeowners, developers, local businesses and policy makers in Spokane. The message “Together Stronger” reinforced that the housing crisis affects everyone in the community and requires everyone helping to make a change.
